Steve Woodard
Steve Woodard, Ph.D., P.E., brings over 33 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment to the ECT2 team where he currently leads as Chief Innovation Officer. Currently focused on commercializing synthetic media technology targeting PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, specialty VOCs, and other emerging contaminants, his responsibilities include leading research and new product development, providing technical leadership on all projects, proposal development, intellectual property, and communication with the engineering and remediation communities. Due to his subject matter expertise and industry development success, Steve has delivered many presentations and participated in expert panel discussions across the globe. Steve holds 16 patents for technology developed in the implementation of various systems and methods for treating water, wastewater, groundwater and vapor. He has also authored multiple publications including journal articles and textbook chapters related to his industry knowledge and expertise. Steve holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Andy Bishop
Andy Bishop, P.E., brings over 21 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he is a company co-founder and currently leads as SVP, of Product Commercialization. Prior to co-founding ECT2, Andy worked in various engineering and management positions for companies such as CWT/Siemens Water Technology, Nestle Waters North America, and Woodard & Curran. Andy is a certified Professional Engineer in the State of Maine and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University.
William Dow
William Dow brings over 15 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he currently serves as the team’s US General Manager. Prior to joining ECT2, William worked in various Engineering and Management roles for companies such as CP Kelpo, Shaw Group, and Metso Paper. William is a member of the Project Management Institute, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the International Society of Automation. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional. William holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine.
Danny Florez
Daniel Florez brings over 16 years of industry specific experience to the ECT2 team where he currently serves as our Director of Key Accounts. He is a technical business development professional leading sales and project delivery teams with the primary responsibility of delivering long-term, sustainable solutions for clients. Prior to joining the ECT2 team, Daniel worked as Principal Engineer for Mars Inc. Daniel is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maine, Georgia, and through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying as well as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine and a Master of Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Mike Nickelson
Michael Nickelsen brings over 30 years of industry specific experience to the ECT2 team where he works as VP, Research and Development. He specializes in treatment technologies with emphasis on the development, engineering, design and application of oxidation and synthetic adsorbent technologies. Prior to joining ECT2, Michael worked in a variety of scientific positions for industry related companies. Michael holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Chemistry from James Madison University and Old Dominion University, respectively. Michael is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Water Works Association, and Sigma Xi. Aside from authoring over 41 scientific papers in peer reviewing professional journals, he is also an inventor on several environmental process patents.

Marilyn Sinnett
Marilyn Sinnett brings over 14 years of experience in consulting and manufacturing environments to the ECT2 team where she serves as Vice President of Design and Product Engineering. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maine, her technical focus is on the mechanical design of water and vapor treatment systems including synthetic media vessels, steam generation systems, cooling systems, and automated control. Marilyn holds a Professional Engineer license in eight states across the U.S. and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). In 2018, Sinnett, along with colleagues, authored and was featured in a publication titled Perfluoroalkyl Substances in the Environment: Theory, Practice, and Innovation. Since then, she has presented on similar topics at multiple professional conferences across the globe.
Dale Wynkoop
Dale Wynkoop brings over 27 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he currently works as the VP of Strategic Accounts, leading teams responsible for the sustainable treatment of emerging contaminants in various waters. Prior to joining the ECT2 team, Dale was the Vice President of Veolia Water Technologies Standard Products Group where he was responsible for the business development success of industrial water treatment products, including media filtration, ion exchange, and reverse osmosis systems across North America. Dale holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.

John Berry
John Berry brings over 26 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he currently works as a Global Process Engineering Lead. Prior to this, John held various related positions at companies such as Haley & Aldrich and GEI Consultants. He is a certified Professional Engineer in New Hampshire, Maine, and Florida and is a member of the ITRC PFAS and 1,4-dioxane teams. John has authored Perfluoroalkyl Substances in the Environment – Theory, Practice, and Innovation 1st Edition and the article Ion exchange resin for PFAS removal and pilot test comparison to GAC which was published in Remediation Journal in 2017. He also is an inventor with an industry related patent. John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from WPI.
Dan Casey
Dan Casey brings over 7 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he serves as Director, Product Deployment & Optimization. Prior to this, Dan held a Field Process Services Engineer role at Evoqua Water Technologies. He is a certified Professional Engineer by the State of Maine and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maine.

Joe Kontur brings over 18 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he currently leads as Global Director of Applications Engineering. Prior to this, Joe’s career involved a variety of leadership and chemical engineering roles where he focused on developing innovative approaches and solutions for customers and implemented those methods across global teams. Joe is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), has a bronze certification in A3 thinking, and is certified in facilitating A3 Rapid Improvement Events (RIE). Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Chris Lehrman brings over 9 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he works as Technical Manager. Prior to this, he worked in other Engineer roles at companies such as Haley & Aldrich and Comfort Systems USA Energy Services. Chris is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers and The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Andrea Sepulveda
Andrea Sepulveda brings over 10 years of industry experience to the ECT2 where she serves as Director of Engineering. Her focus in this role is on the technical aspects of engineering design projects relating to groundwater and soil vapor remediation as well as drinking water treatment plants. Prior to joining the ECT2 team, Andrea worked in similar industry roles at Haley & Aldrich, Inc. Andrea holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and is a certified Professional Engineer in California. Recently, Andrea joined colleagues to author a peer review article titled 1,4‐Dioxane: Emerging technologies for an emerging contaminant that was published in Remediation in 2019.

Michael Sims brings over 10 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he currently works as Project Manager. Prior to this, Michael worked in various Engineering roles for companies such as Ramboli, Woodard & Curran, and Hussey Seating Company. Michael is a Certified Professional Engineer in Arkansas, Illinois, Georgia, Missouri, Idaho, California, and Maine. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Focus from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and M.B.A. from the University of Southern Maine.

Carl Sueli
Carl Sueli brings over 20 years of industry experience to the ECT2 team where he serves as VP, Australia Operations. Prior to joining the ECT2 team, Carl has worked in various management roles within the industry at companies such as Conscia, RPS Australia, Point Project Management, and TransACT Communications. Carl is a Certified Practicing Project Manager through the AIPM and was awarded 2019 NSW Project Manager of the Year from the AIPM. Carl serves as a member of both the Australiasian Land and Groundwater Association and the Council of Australia.

Tore Svendsen
Tore is an environmental engineer and has a PhD in environmental chemistry. Tore has worked with industrial water treatment for many years and was involved in PFAS projects long before they started to take off in Denmark. He has been responsible for the technical implementation of many of the PFAS treatment solutions that are currently in operation in Denmark, including the largest PFAS treatment plant in Denmark (CPH airport), Århus Fire School and Deponi Syd in Esbjerg, and is the project manager for two large PFAS cleaning projects that are part of Denmark’s Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program (MUDP).
